ELA--Silent reading for 20minutes every day.
--Students should be reading and working on their IRP which is due Tuesday, October 9/18. A detailed handout is in their reading journal, and samples have been shown in class. It is an assignment that needs to be worked on over several days and not the night before it is due so we have been discussing strategies to work on the assignment.
--Students should have the rough draft of their bio-poem completed and they can start on the good copy. Due date has been set at next Friday, Oct.12th.
--Students need to take home their vocabulary tests to get a parent's signature and return it to class tomorrow.
MATH:
--Complete the one side of the blue sheet--Estimating Square Roots and the 3.3 coloured worksheet questions # 3, 4 and 5 for tomorrow.
--POW #1 is due by Thursday, Oct.4th
--Retest of "Short Assessment" will be on Wednesday at noon hour.
SCIENCE: 8T
----A unit test will be written next Wednesday, Oct. 3. A checklist and study package has been handed out as well as some study strategies discussed.
