Daily Update--November 28/14

ELA--The short story "Dreams" comprehension questions will be due Monday if students still needed time to check and double-check work.
Students should be reading towards their IRP which is due Dec. 10/14. They should have decided on a suitable project that fits with their book, and should be using sticky notes for referencing.
Get Unit 3 Vocabulary Test and the Adjective test signed and returned to school.

Math-- Review the  "Conversion Chart" of fractions to decimals to percents for a surprise quiz any time.

SS--Get Cro-magnon tests signed. Continue research on the new project, "Early Permanent Settlements and Structures". The project will be due next Wednesday/Thursday.

French--

Cooking--Title page and contract due Dec. 1st.

ELA--The short story "Dreams" was handed out with comprehension questions. Students need to read the story and answer the questions thoroughly in complete sentences. This will be due by the end of the week.

 Students should be reading towards their IRP which is due Dec. 10/14.

Math--POW #11 is due Friday. 4.2 Page 135 in the textbook, questions #4 to `11, # 13 in Problem Format, and #15 are due Thursday. Review the  "Conversion Chart" of fractions to decimals to percents for a surprise quiz any time.

Math-- Review the  "Conversion Chart" of fractions to decimals to percents for a surprise quiz any time. 4.2 Worksheet questions #1 to 8 should have been completed.

SS--Weekly News is due by Tuesday.

Science--Good copy of the lab report is due Monday.

A letter was sent home on Tuesday outlining the procedures for Student/Parent/Teacher conferences next week. Those that were handed in are now going back home to verify appointment times. We tried to accommodate as many choices as we could. Please check the schedule below, and if the times do not work, please let us know and other arrangements can be made. If you have not yet requested a time, please have your son/daughter hand in your choices.

ELA--Students have an adjective quiz tomorrow, A review sheet was handed out today, as well as their grammar booklet which has examples of quiz questions. There will be a unit 3 vocabulary test on Friday so students need to be reviewing the words. "Day of the Butterfly" short story booklet of worksheets will be collected tomorrow. Students need to get their October reading calendars signed.
