Daily Update--March 27/15

ELA--There is always daily reading.

 --Students should be reading and using sticky notes and recipe cards for their IRP project. This oral presentation will begin on Monday, April 6th and continue to the end of the week.

 Math--Textbook pages 337-339 #5,6,8, 11, and 12 are due if they did not have them done for today. Bring back your signed Integers test.

Grammar booklet--Sentence Building , pages 1 to 4 were due today.

--The rest of the vocabulary unit 7 booklet is due by Thursday.

Math--POW #22 is due by Thursday. It was assigned last week.

--Vocabulary unit 7 synonyms and antonyms page is due Monday.

Math--We will be writing a unit test on integers Monday. For review, students were given several questions to work on from the textbook, Chapter Review section.

Daily Update--March 19/15

ELA--There is always daily reading.
--Students should be reading and using sticky notes for their new IRP project.

--The students' Chapter 5 assignment in the novel is due Tuesday.  They should be working on their rough drafts which should be almost done by tomorrow. The weekend can then be used for the good copy.

Math--We will be writing a unit test on integers Monday. For tomorrow, textbook 8.5 #7, in problem format # 8 and 13, and then #15 equation and answer.(pages 315/316).

SS-- Get the test signed and returned tomorrow.

--Students should be reading and using sticky notes for their new IRP project.

--The students were given a handout explaining their new assignment for Chapter 5 in the novel. They should be working on their rough drafts which should be half way done by tomorrow. This assignment will be due early next week. (Tuesday)

Math--We will be writing a unit test on integers early next week (Monday as of right now, but we will see how review goes). For tomorrow, worksheet 8.5 #5,6,7a, 8, and 9  are due.

Science--Fluorescent light bulb diagram is due tomorrow if you did not hand it in after today's class.

 --For the novel assignment, the good copy of the summary is due Thursday.

-- The "Evidence of Learning" for Unit 6 is the word scene, and we have decided that the good copy will be due Monday.The rough draft of either making up the story or making up the individual sentences should be a work in progress so we can edit the sentences in class.

Math--POW #20 is due Monday.
--Textbook questions on page 291-292 #5,6,13,14, and in problem format #15 was assigned yesterday, and we will mark it tomorrow.

Daily Update--March 3/15

Sorry but I was away yesterday and did not update the homework blog.

ELA--There is always daily reading.

--I am still waiting for signed vocabulary tests, and signed Chapter 2 novel quiz.

--For the novel assignment, the next step is to have a rough draft of the summary of the chapter ready to edit and type tomorrow. The good copy of the summary will then be due Thursday.
