We are just about finished our portfolio work.
On MOnday we plan on working on a SS activity before we go bowling in the afternoon.
Students need to remember to bring $5 for bowling, and also bring money to buy a treat at Retro's.

Daily Update--June 19/13
ELA--The Learning Journey for "A Midsummer Night's Dream" is due tomorrow. The Memory Books are also due tomorrow. Students will have half an hour in the morning to put finishing touches on the projects. Students also need to have their portfolios in school as we will be working on them starting tomorrow.
Science--A few students still need to present their Design Toys.
All design projects need to be taken home starting tomorrow.

Daily Update--June 17/13
We had a great day at the pool! The kids and the weather were great!
ELA--Students need to be working on their Memory Books and the Learning Journeys as both are due by Thursday and there is a great deal of editing and typing to get accomplished. They should also be thinking of pictures,etc. that they would like to put into the books as they will be boxed up and not opened up until Grade 12.
Science--All design projects were due today as we will be testing them starting tomorrow.

Daily Update--June 14/13
Students need to bring in their Science Design Toy Project on Monday. The green criteria sheet explains what is needed.
We are going to the pool with the grade 7 students on Monday so permission sheets need to be handed in on Monday. No money is needed. Please dress accordingly and remember to bring all necessary items.

SS--Tomorrow is our "Roman Games Morning" so students need to bring a sheet for their togas, a belt, sandals, and their food choice. Please do not forget to bring the food.
Science--Review for Thursday test. Work on questions #8,9,10, and 11 a,b,c for tomorrow. The Design Toy Project is due Monday.
French--The scrapbook is now due on Thursday because of the Roman Games tomorrow.

Daily Update--June 10/13
Math--The exam is tomorrow and students have many worksheets and textbook questions to work through as final review tonight. They need to make certain they have a calculator, pencils, and an eraser for tomorrow.
Science--The "Design Toy" Project is due Monday, June 17. The criteria sheet has been handed out. The unit test on Fluids will be written on Thursday, June 13. Review questions and a sample test have been handed out. The questions # 1, 5,6,and 7 on page 138 are due tomorrow.

The important homework this weekend is preparing for the Math exam which will be written Tuesday morning. We have been working through an exam booklet, and students were given the opportunity to take more worksheets home today. The textbook also has many questions (and answers) which the students can be working through.
ELA--Complete the rough drafts for the Memory Books as we will be typing the good copies next week. Vocabulary unit 8 booklet is due Monday. The rough drafts for the Shakespearean play up to the end of Act 4 should be completed. the background for it should also be done.
Science--Preparation for Thursday's test on Fluids should be happening. An old test and review questions from the textbook should be worked on for review. Their last design project---a toy with hydraulics or pneumatics is due June 17th.

ELA--We are working on the Memory Book rough drafts so they are done by next week. Students should be working on chapters 6 and 7. We will be typing the good copies soon. Signed essays should be handed in by now.
Math--We will be starting exam review tomorrow. There will be review work every day until next Tuesday when we will be writing the exam. It will cover the concepts studied this year.
SS--Roman board games are due by Friday.
Science--Complete the 2 definitions in the booklet on Hydraulics and pneumatics.
