ELA--Silent reading for 20minutes every day.
--Vocabulary Unit 1 test will be written Tuesday, Sept.25th. We will be reviewing the words in class as well as going over study skills as to how to prepare for this type of test. Students should go over spelling and definitions of atleast 5 words every night prior to the test and then review all 20 words the night before the test. They should know the spelling and definitions of each word, examples of synonyms and antonyms, as well as being able to use each word correctly in a sentence.
--Students are to be working on the good copy of their chosen word for the "Evidence of Learning which is due next Tuesday.
The "Bio-Poem" was introduced today, and students need to be working on the rough draft of it. No due date has been set yet.
MATH:
3.1 worksheet on Squares and square roots questions # 1 to 8 are due Tuesday. We had enough time to complete this in class if students were using the time wisely.
SCIENCE:
--Please see if you can catch/collect grasshoppers for our dissection--dead or alive.
SOCIAL STUDIES:
FOODS:
Comic strip is due next class-Wednesday.
****A reminder of "Strong Beginnings" on Friday and Monday.
**** Terry Fox pledge sheets were handed out today, and we ask the students to use the next week to collect as many pledges as they can. Thank you for your support!
