Daily Update--October 10/14

ELA--Students are reading daily and making jot notes with their sticky notes towards their second IRP which will be due by October 31st.

Students need to get their September reading calendars signed and returned to class asap.

The new "Evidence of Learning" was explained with a handout. Students should have made their list of 10 or more words and decided on the topic of their paragraph. To stay on track, their rough draft of this paragraph should be done by Tuesday. This assignment in its completion will be due by  Friday, October 17th.

Math--The mid-unit test has been handed back, and students need to do their corrections, and have the test signed and returned by Tuesday.

SS--The next "Weekly News" is due Tuesday.

Science--

8R Science-Spelling test of the 12 animal cell organelles will be on Tuesday.

The class surpassed their class reading of 7589 pages by reading 8807 pages. As a result of this, we had our reading party this afternoon where we played in the gym for 35 minutes and then watched a movie and had munchies. Thank you to the students who graciously brought food and/or movies.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
