Daily Update--January 8, 2014

Happy New Year, everyone!

I was away yesterday as I was celebrating Ukrainian Christmas with my family. I trust everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
We are in full swing again in 8T!

ELA--Unit 5 vocabulary booklet--Synonyms and Antonyms section is due tomorrow. Students should be reading, and we discussed the next IRP and its format. This will be due the first week in February, but students should get a head start on it now.

Math--6.4 in the textbook, pages 220-221, #4,5,7,and 8, and in problem format--# 12 and 16 will be due tomorrow.

Science--In the AHA booklet, students need to have the first "Fill in the Blanks" page completed for Friday. The unit test will be written next Wednesday, and the students have the checklist so they can start preparing now. They are also working on their sample tests which should be due by Friday in order to exchange with others.  We will be dissecting sheep hearts tomorrow. YAHOO!!

Art--Tessellations project is due next Tuesday.

A letter and permission slip went home today describing our field trip to MB Ag Days in Brandon. Please have the permission form returned asap, and if there are any parent volunteers interested in going, let me know. Thank you!
