Daily Update-Feb.28/13

ELA--The 4th book report is due Monday.

Math--Worksheet 8.3 --#4,5,6,7,and in problem format #9 a ; amd in the textbook--#13,15,and 23 in problem format, and #28 for tomorrow.

SS--Work on your dictionary and powerpoint slides, and model. All are due Wednesday.

Hand in consent forms and course selection sheets.

Tomorrow we are watching the movie, The Hunger Games, as our Reading Party so students can bring in munchies for themselves.

Daily Update--Feb.26/13

ELA--Their "Evidence of Learning" short story is due tomorrow with a cover and back jacket and all rough drafts. The students need to read the short story, "Catch", and then answer the comprehension questions that go along with it. This is due Thursday.  The final book project for this term is due Monday. Get vocabulary test unit 6 signed and returned to school.

SS--Research should almost be complete, and students should be working on their powerpoint slides.

French--Postcards are due Thursday.

Health--Test is tomorrow.

Course selection sheets were handed out today, and the students met with Mr. Phillips. Tomorrow night is an informational meeting for parents to discuss course selections for the students. The forms are due by next Tuesday.

A consent form was also sent home today in regards to students being involved in a survey.Please read through it and return it to school tomorrow. Thank you!

ELA--The good copy of "Evidence of Learning" story is due Wednesday. The process must also be included, along with a front and back cover.  Fourth and final book project for this term is due next MOnday.

Math--Worksheet #8.2--#1,2,3,5,6,7,8, and in problem format--#9. In the textbook, page 297-298--#9,10,11, #12 in problem format, and #20 and 22. This is due for tomorrow.

Science-- The booklet on lenses is due tomorrow.

SS-Get your test signed and returned to school asap. Continue research on your Egyptian topic.

French--Good copy of the postcard is due Wednesday.

Health--Test is tomorrow.

Art--Your "Burn/Fire" poster is due by the end of the month.

8R--Science--The booklet on lenses is due tomorrow.

Daily Update--Feb.22/13

ELA--The rough draft of the "Evidence Of Learning" story should be editted and ready to type Monday morning. There is also a cover jacket that is part of the criteria. The final good copy is due Wednesday. Fourth book project is due March 4th.

Math--Assignment is from yesterday.

Science--Blue booklet--pages 27-29 are due for Monday.

SS--Get your test signed and returned. Research your Egypt topic and work on the dictionary.

French--Rough draft of the postcard is due Monday, with the good copy due Wednesday.

Health--Test on Tuesday.

Art Students--The "Fire" poster is due Thursday.

8R--Science--The rest of the blue booklet is due Monday.

Daily UPdate--Feb.21/13

ELA--The "Evidence of Learning" story rough draft should be VERY close to finished. Review for unit 6 vocabulary test which is tomorrow. Work on your last book project.

Math--Textbook page 291--#5 to 8, #13 and #15 in problem format.

SS---Get your test signed and returned tomorrow. Decide on a project topic.

Art students need to complete and hand in your Fire Prevention poster for the contest.

Daily Update--Feb.20/13

ELA--Continue to review for Friday's vocabulary test on unit 6. The rough draft of their "Evidence of Learning" story should be close to finished so we can start revising and editting. For tomorrow, students need to finish reading their particular short story, and complete the plot diagram as a rough draft. Vocabulary unit 5 test needs to be signed and returned to school. Work towards the fourth IRP/book project which is due March 4th.

Math--The work assigned last Friday needs to be completed.

Science--The crossword puzzle and page 23 and 25 in the blue booklet will be due tomorrow.

SS--The reading strategy that was assigned on Friday is due tomorrow. I am restating this as some of the students did not complete their Science homework that assigned on Friday, and there were many days to complete the work.

Daily Update--Feb.15/13

ELA--Get the vocabulary unit 5 test signed. Review unit 6 words for a test on Friday. Work on the 4th book project. Begin your web and rough draft of your short story, incorporating unit 6 vocabulary words.

Math--We started integers. Work on the white worksheet and 8.1 yellow worksheet, omitting #4. This is due Tuesday.

Science--Complete the diagrams of umbra and penumbra. Answer questions #4 to 7 on page 271, and on page 275--#1,2, and 5 for Tuesday.

SS--Complete the reading strategy assignment for Tuesday.

French--Dictee rewrite is on Tuesday.

Health--Test is on Tuesday.
