Daily Update--Nov. 17/14

ELA--October reading calendars need to be signed. "Evidence of Learning" is due by tomorrow. Students should be thinking about (and using their sticky notes for) the first IRP project for second term which is different than the first term. A handout has been handed out and explained.

Math--POW is due Friday. Review the  "Conversion Chart" of fractions to decimals to percents for a surprise quiz any time this week.

SS--Review Cro-Magnon notes for tomorrow's test. Notes must also be handed in with the test.


 Students MUST have a portfolio binder in class as we are putting them together this week.

Math--Complete "Conversion Chart" of fractions to decimals to percents by Monday.

SS--Review Cro-Magnon notes as the presentations will be completed on Monday and then students will be writing the test on Tuesday.

Students MUST have a portfolio binder in class on Monday as we will be putting them together on Monday.

ELA-- There will be a unit 3 vocabulary test on Friday so students need to be reviewing the words.  Students need to get their October reading calendars signed.

Math-

SS--Your chart of notes for your particular Cro-Magnon section is due tomorrow as you will be presenting tomorrow.

 Science-Get quiz signed.

ELA--Students have an adjective quiz tomorrow, A review sheet was handed out today, as well as their grammar booklet which has examples of quiz questions. There will be a unit 3 vocabulary test on Friday so students need to be reviewing the words. "Day of the Butterfly" short story booklet of worksheets will be collected tomorrow. Students need to get their October reading calendars signed.

Math-

Science-Get quiz signed.

ELA-- The rest of the Vocabulary unit 3 booklet is due tomorrow. Please get your October reading calendar signed and returned tomorrow.


Math: POW #9 is due tomorrow. Get the unit test signed and returned tomorrow. Textbook 4.1pages 128/129 questions #4,5,6,7,8,9, and in P.F. #11 are due tomorrow.

SS--Weekly News is due by next Wednesday. The Information Frame on the Stone Age is due tomorrow.

 Science--Get quiz signed and returned tomorrow.

8R Science--Get quiz signed and returned tomorrow. Have a substitute for the crossword done for tomorrow.

Math: POW #9 is due Friday. Get it done early! Get test corrections done and have the test signed and returned tomorrow. Worksheet 4.1 is due tomorrow--all questions except the last one.

ELA-- We signed our November calendars today, and the students reached their October class reading goal with a total of 10377 pages. GREAT JOB!
Vocabulary unit 3 was started today; synonyms and antonyms page is due Wednesday.
"Catch" short story questions are due Wednesday.
