Daily Update--Sept. 12/14

 ELA--Students should be reading daily for 20 minutes. In the first vocabulary unit, the rest of the booklet is due Monday.  The completed copy(the good copy) of the friendly letter to me was handed in today. Students should be working towards their first IRP which is due October 1st.

Math--We had an informal assessment today in Math so we will be correcting POW #1 on Monday, as well as  worksheet 3.1 questions #1 to 8 A and B.
 
SS--The "Index/Glossary" handout is due Monday.
 
French--Bring in a picture of yourself.
 
Sewing students need to have their comic done for Tuesday.
 
****Students have pledge sheets to start collecting pledges for the Terry Fox Run/Walk which will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 24/14.
 
****There are a few students who still need to hand in the signed informational letter that went home Tuesday.

ELA--Students should be reading daily for 20 minutes. In the first vocabulary unit, the page with "Synonyms and Antonyms" is due tomorrow.  The completed rough draft of the friendly letter to me is due tomorrow. Good copy of the letter is due Friday.

Math--POW #1 will be due Friday.
 
SS--The handout of the "Scavenger Hunt" questions #13 to 36 are due tomorrow.

Daily Update--Sept. 9/14

 ELA--Daily reading of  20 minutes. We started the first vocabulary unit today, and the page with "Synonyms and Antonyms" is due Thursday.  We also started the rough draft of the friendly letter to me, and the rough draft of the first two paragraphs is due tomorrow.

Math--POW #1 will be due Friday. The multiplication table is due tomorrow. Many finished it in class today.
 
SS--The handout of the "Scavenger Hunt" questions #1 to 12 are due tomorrow.

Daily Update--Sept. 5/14

We have just finished our first week of school successfully!!! It has been great!!!!!

ELA--Daily reading of atleast 20 minutes is recommended.

Science--If any students have not finished their Name Tag activity, it is due Monday.

Daily Update--Sept.4/14

Welcome to a new school year!

8T has had a great start to the year!

The students should have taken home an "8T Classroom Expectations" sheet that needs to be signed and returned to school. They also have a registration package that needs signatures. We have labeled all supplies today, and have chosen reading books from the library.

ELA--Daily reading of 20 minutes should occur every night. Students have set personal reading goals for the month of September, as well as a class goal.

Student council will be collecting Student Fees in front of the office tomorrow as well as next week. This is optional.
